Every Sunday morning, 101.9fm The MIX presents special Public Affairs programming to address the issues and concerns facing the people of Chicago and its surrounding communities. Rather than focus on the problems we like to emphasize the solutions, so our locally-produced "MIX Matters" features conversations with Chicago-area officials, experts, and every day citizens who are working to improve our lives and our communities. We invite you to join Public Affairs Manager Susan Wiencek Sunday at 6:30AM for MIX Matters. And then enjoy a performance by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at 7:00AM.

"MIX Matters" with Susan Wiencek
Sundays at 6:30AM

Dr. Barbara Oakley struggled with algebra in high school and college but at 26 decided she wanted to do better. And she did! Dr. Oakley is now a professor of engineering at Oakland University, a fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering, and the author of A Mind for Numbers, How to Excel at Math and Science Even if You Flunked Algebra. Check out her website at Barbara Oakley.
